Let's Meet.

People engage in counseling and coaching for a wide variety of reasons. As a therapist I believe that therapy is a collaborative partnership, and you as the client are the expert on yourself and your experiences while I am the expert on supporting you and guiding you through exploring and processing your experiences in order for you to be able to move forward and live your best life.

I have experience working with clients from a variety of backgrounds, including but not limited to: addiction, grief, fertility/infertility, mood disorders, life change adjustments and trauma. Catering to my clients’ specific needs, I utilize techniques from varying modalities that include CBT, talk therapy, Gestalt, EMDR, and somatic mindfulness in order to inspire my clients towards change, growth and healing.

Through our work together, my goal is to empower you to align the values you identify with the way you live your life and to assist you in increasing your capacity for experiencing and carrying your emotions as they arise so that, in doing so, you are then able to embrace complications as they present themselves while creating an intentional and purpose-filled life.

My Credentials

I have been practicing since 2014 and am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor in the State of Ohio (LPCC) and a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and Licensed Clinical Substance Abuse Specialist Associate in the State of North Carolina through the North Carolina Board of Licensed Professional Counselors and the North Carolina Substance Abuse Professional Practice Board. I graduated from Ohio University with an undergraduate degree in education and the University of Dayton with my Master's Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling.

I am trained in EMDR and am currently enrolled in the Somatic Experiencing Trauma Institute’s training program, which will enable me to be a Somatic Experiencing practitioner upon completion of the program. I have extensive training in Gestalt therapy, Addiction and Traumatic grief. In addition, I am currently working on becoming a Board Certified Coach (BCC) through the Institute for Life Coach Training.

Throughout my years of professional experience, in addition to providing psychotherapy and coaching, I have previously provided CEU’s and have done trainings on a variety of topics specific to grief, trauma and crisis intervention. I have also developed curriculum for community support groups with a focus on addiction and grief and have created and orchestrated summer camps for grieving teens and children.

In my free time I love exploring and experiencing all that the city of Asheville has to offer. I enjoy taking hikes with my husband and children, practicing yoga, running, seeing live music, gardening, doing service work, camping and traveling as much as possible.
